Spark Your Child’s Interest in an In-Demand Field

Web development is one of the fastest-growing careers in today’s economy, with jobs in the field projected to grow by 23% from 2021 through 2031.1

By giving your child hands-on experience in coding and computer science, you can help them see the value of learning these in-demand skills. A Gallup poll shows that students who spend at least one hour a week studying computer science are more likely to see it as important to learn.2

Engaging Summer Learning That Prepares Your Child for Their Future

During the Tackling Tech Computer Science Camp, students will dive into computer programming and use a range of widely used front-end web development technologies, such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery. Your child will feel challenged and inspired through hands-on projects as they build problem-solving skills in a team setting.

Students will connect with like-minded peers, and receive personalized support from seasoned web developers.

From 1 to 2 p.m. on Fridays, after instructional sessions have concluded, students may choose to participate in fun and engaging fitness activities led by Justin Reid.

Students will receive a Certificate of Completion — signed by Justin Reid — and build a portfolio of projects that they can include as part of college and job applications.
